Cookie Policy

This Policy explains which cookies and related technologies are used on the website www.meet-sally.com and in the “Sally” application, their purpose, how long they last, who manages them and how you control your consent. It supplements the Privacy Policy and replaces any previous version of it.

1. Legal Framework

This Cookie Policy is issued in accordance with:

• (a) Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Law 4624/2019,
• (b) Directive 2002/58/EC, as transposed by Law 3471/2006, in particular Article 4(5) thereof, as amended by Law 4070/2012,
• (c) the guidelines of the Hellenic Data Protection Authority on the use of cookies and other trackers.

2. What Cookies Are

2.1. Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the device to be recognized on subsequent visits, preferences to be stored, and statistics to be collected.

2.2. This Policy also covers related technologies that serve similar purposes and are treated the same way under the law, in particular browser local storage (local storage and session storage), tracking pixels, device identifiers, and the software tools embedded in the mobile application.

2.3. By duration, cookies are distinguished into session cookies, which are deleted when the browser closes, and persistent cookies, which remain for a set period. By origin, they are distinguished into first-party and third-party cookies.

3. Consent

3.1. Strictly necessary cookies. Strictly necessary cookies are placed without consent, as they are essential for the functioning of the service you requested, in accordance with Article 4(5) of Law 3471/2006.

3.2. Every other cookie. Every non-necessary cookie is placed only following your prior, express and free consent, given through an active choice per category via the consent banner, in accordance with Articles 6(1)(a) and 7 GDPR.

3.3. What does not constitute consent. Continued browsing, scrolling the page, closing the banner, inactivity, and pre-ticked boxes do not constitute consent.

3.4. Refusal is as easy as acceptance. The consent banner presents, on an equal footing, at the same level and with the same visual prominence, the options to accept all, reject all, and manage by category.

3.5. Before you state your choice, no non-necessary cookie is installed and no non-necessary tool is activated.

3.6. You may revoke or change your consent at any time, without retroactive effect, via the permanently accessible “Cookie Settings” link in the website's footer, as well as via the Application's settings.

3.7. Your choice is recorded and kept as proof of consent. The question is asked again at the latest after twelve (12) months, and whenever the purposes or providers change materially.

4. Categories We Use

We use three categories. We do not use cookies or technologies for marketing, remarketing or targeted advertising, nor do we make data available to third-party advertising networks.

4.1. Strictly necessary cookies. They ensure basic functionality, security and access to protected areas. They do not require consent and cannot be disabled through the consent banner, only through your browser settings, which will result in the service not functioning properly.

4.2. Functionality cookies. Remember your choices and improve the user experience. Require consent.

4.3. Statistics and analytics cookies. Collect aggregated and pseudonymized usage data, so we can understand which features are used and improve the service. Require consent and are not activated before it is given.

The website also uses Google Tag Manager, which does not itself set cookies but manages the activation of the tools above. Their activation depends solely on your choice.

5. Software Tools in the Mobile Application

The mobile application does not use cookies in the strict sense, but does use embedded software tools that process device identifiers and usage events. The same consent rules apply.

No additional third-party tools are used for the operation of the knowledge game within the Application. Participation data is kept on the Company's infrastructure and described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Cookies and Third-Party Services

The providers activated through the website or the Application are also governed by their own privacy policies:

Where activating a tool involves transferring data outside the European Economic Area, the safeguards of Chapter V GDPR apply, as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Fonts and External Resources

The website currently loads fonts via the Google Fonts service. Loading an external resource involves disclosing your IP address to its provider. The Company has initiated migration to locally hosting fonts on its own servers, to stop this disclosure. The migration is expected to be completed by 31/12/2028. Until then, loading occurs only with your consent.

8. How You Control Cookies

8.1. Through the consent tool. Using the consent banner on your first visit, you may accept all, reject all, or manage by category. You may return at any time via the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer.

8.2. Through your browser. Most browsers allow general or selective deletion and blocking of cookies. Relevant instructions can be found on the support pages of each browser, indicatively Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Apple Safari.

8.3. Through your device settings. On mobile devices, you can limit tracking and reset the advertising identifier through your operating system's settings.

8.4. Objection signals. Where a Global Privacy Control signal or another equivalent automated objection request is detected, it is respected as a withdrawal of consent under Article 7(3) GDPR with respect to non-necessary cookies.

9. Consequences of Disabling

Rejecting non-necessary cookies does not prevent use of the service. Disabling necessary cookies through browser settings may make registration, sign-in and use of protected features impossible.

10. Your Rights

With respect to data that may be collected through cookies and related technologies, you retain all the rights under Articles 15 to 22 GDPR, as specified in the Privacy Policy. To exercise them, contact info@meet-sally.com.

11. Relationship with the Other Legal Texts

This Policy supplements the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use. In the event of conflict on a data protection matter, the Privacy Policy prevails.

12. Amendments

This Policy may be amended to reflect technological or legislative developments and the addition or removal of tools. The date of each version is stated at the beginning of the text. For material changes, your consent is requested again via the consent banner.
